The Way Maker Matching Gift Movement
A campaign by Eyes Wide Open International
Update
We are counting our many blessings! After just one week of "The Way Maker Matching Gift Movement" we are over half way to the needed $10,000.
We just surpassed $6,000. This amount consists of giving over and above our regular gifts.
Thank you to all who have prayed and given. Please share this page to help us meet our goal and get an incredible $10,000 gift!
We just received an amazing gift. Someone just gave a $10,000 matching gift to help Eyes Wide Open International and especially our kids,
family and those we serve in Haiti get through the current and escalating crisis.
This is a dollar to dollar matching gift. For each dollar given we will receive a 100% match up to a total of $10,000. We hope to raise
the full $10,000 in order to receive the $10,000 matching gift. This will go a long way to help us make it through the next level of this
crisis and enable us to help others through as well.
There are 4 ways you can help...
Pray- Ephesians 6:18 "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert
and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."
Give- Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured

Update on our kids and family in Haiti
Things are happening so quickly in our world and Haiti is no exception. Haiti is one of the last countries to be affected by the COVID19
virus. The situation here is fluid and we have to change and adapt with all new information to do the best we possibly can to protect the
kids and all of the extended family.
Because of our living arrangements and the very nature of an extra-large family if one person gets the virus in our family we will all have it.
Unless of course God's supernatural protection covers us. Nothing is impossible for Our Father. We have several family members who have serious
underlying health conditions so we are working vigilantly every day to keep the virus from entering the house.
As COVID19 begins to impact Haiti. It is extremely difficult to get accurate information about how the virus is spreading in Haiti.
Currently, there are probably thousands of cases of the virus. However, getting an accurate number of what we are facing here is going
to be difficult. There is great fear in getting tested, several large hospitals have closed and others are refusing to take COVID19 cases.
The government was setting up testing centers but because there have been reports of attacks on sick people suspected of having the virus,
many Haitians will not go to get tested. The Haitian Health Services has set up a hot line for those who are having symptoms. The protocol
is for you to stay at home and then a medical professional comes to you. However, numerous reports are coming in that the phone just rings
and rings or you finally talk to a person and no one ever comes to your house.
There is a developing underlying sense of panic. The majority of Haitians live day to day. Meaning they work each day to get food for each
day. They work and buy food in crowded street markets and take overcrowded public transportation. Most Haitians live in small living quarters
and often with large families and extended families. The majority of Haitians cannot self-isolate or practice social distancing. The
masses of Haitians have no access to masks or gloves.
Without divine intervention the effect of COVID19 could be catastrophic.
Our Haitian family has been hit hard by many difficulties before the threat of COVID19. There have been social, political and economic
challenges that have made it difficult to provide for basic needs. School was closed for two months in the fall and the prices of food
and basic supplies has more than doubled at times. As this virus is just now beginning to hit Haiti, we will for sure need more support of all kinds.
We want to say thank you to all who have prayed and are continuing to intercede and support Eyes Wide Open International and all those we serve.
